Coveting Higher Consciousness: Forgoing the Concept of Feminine Fault

The Fault of the Female

Lately I have been considering my own morals and the reasons for them. Sometimes, we do things because that is simply how they are done. As I get older I have to wonder if this is true for my own view... In a number of areas. I wanted to open a dialogue about the morality of empowering women. Something inside of me has been tugging, telling me that we're doing it wrong.

The current model that promises to give women my freedoms and supposable the quality is the same model it can't seem to tear modesty and rape culture apart. It is the same cultural model in the western world that tells women that where they dress towards the male gaze, scantily clad and with their body bared, they are shameful. Of course, if you dress in a modest fashion then as a woman, you maybe see if snickers or sneers. There's always going to be someone staring down their own nose at you I'm telling you why it's your fault that men can't control their own sexual drives.

Female Troubles

issues that pertain to women feeling good about themselves are often swept under the rug by our general culture. The fact of the matter is most families have made their decision on what is acceptable for a girl to wear when she is quite Young and the rest of her life is spent reacting to the expectations of society as a whole, which may or may not be in direct opposition to Family Values. I feel bad for the girls that are raised in modesty culture, being told that their shape and form tempts their bretheren from God, as though by simply budding breasts she will entice the boy is in her life so much that they will not be able to control themselves and they will fall from God and in that from Grace. For a culture that doesn't want to give women any power, that seems like pretty ultimate power to me.

Seductress and the siren become tempting icons in the male mind as he is taught that it is the woman's fault that he can't behave with that he can't think straight when he sees the slight curve of the female form, Coy smile up to him and her lips and the heat of her chest as she breathes in.

Every movement of the female body becomes for him and towards him, masculinity being created by the ability to overcome this powerful force. It is as though the female form exudes sexuality, from this creation that is too beautiful to look away from. If you look at religious texts it is though she was created this way and the challenge is inherent and cannot be denied. The female form, is bestowed upon the woman from birth and yet it is something that she is expected to harness, a powerful component that cannot be denied by men but somehow expected be protected by the very woman that is considered weak on so many fronts.

Beauty Reflected Through the Eyes

Cover up to protect your morality, hold your virtue close to your breast. the religious lot will teach this to the children and bestow upon their daughters the responsibility of lust.

Certain feminists today will go the opposite way and dress to be seen, understanding that power is to be had from their sexuality.

On both sides of the spectrum at leaves responsibility of lust in the hands of the woman, to both protect herself and to deny from men.

And those cases it is her responsibility, therefore it should be easy enough to see why is also her fault. seems to me that that is a problem with both rape and modesty culture, and that they are two sides to the same coin.

when covered up even the eyes are no longer safe, as when they are the only things revealed they still contain the ability to lure and attract. it seems to me that as long as we continue down this line of thought with this commonality at the base, lady troubles of this variety will persist.

Can Change Occur?

Information gained through understanding that each individual is their own, not to be owned, not to be overcome, not there to be conquered.... The argument is the same again and again and it all comes down to ownership. Equality can only happen when we are not trying to enslave each other but are willing to accept that form and function are not a display or advertisement. This goes for ownership down the lines of gender, race or any other papers and force that makes us recognize the difference between each of us.

Is that so difficult?
