Existe uma premissa tanto filosófica quanto científica, que é a que diz que "nada surge do nada". Ela vem desde a filosofia grega, mas foi imortalizada pela expressão em latim:
É uma constatação muito forte, tão forte em nós que é difícil alguém discordar dela. Afinal, foge ao mais básico do nosso senso comum imaginar algo vindo a surgir magicamente do nada. É algo anti-intuitivo e anti-científico.
Até aí tudo bem, não há nenhuma novidade nisso tudo. Mas a novidade vem quando começamos a tirar conclusões a partir disso. E essa postagem é justamente pra trazer à reflexão uma dessas conclusões:
Premissa 1) Nada surge do nada
Premissa 2) Nunca ninguém provou que um dia existiu o nada
Conclusão óbvia: o que existe sempre existiu. O Universo sempre existiu, é atemporal.
Ou seja, se aceitarmos o fato de que "nada surge do nada", e também o fato de que nunca ninguém jamais comprovou que um dia "existiu" o nada, então como conclusão dessas duas premissas temos que o Universo sempre existiu e é atemporal, até que se prove o contrário.

O Big Bang não diz absolutamente nada sobre o "surgimento" do Universo, apenas diz como ele evoluiu ao longo do tempo. Então não dá pra afirmar que o Big Bang "prova" que o Universo surgiu do nada.

Pena que o Big Bang não diz como o Universo surgiu, apenas como ele se expandiu com o tempo. É igual à Teoria da Evolução nesse aspecto: ela não diz como a vida surgiu, apenas como ela evoluiu.

Não necessariamente. Isto só prova que alguma coisa sempre perdurou, mas não necessariamente que esta coisa que sempre perdurou é a mesma que hoje existe.
Isso prova que o que existe, seja lá o que for, não pode ter surgido do nada, nem desaparecer do nada. Ou seja, tudo o que existe sempre existiu.
Não. Uma coisa é algo, este ou aquilo, outra coisa é o "tudo". Eu concordo que algo sempre existiu, mas não considero, por exemplo, que tal ente seja material ou que tudo, como eu, você, e até mesmo as partículas que compõe a matéria, são eternas.
Penso que a causa do cosmo é imaterial e incausada e, por isto, eterna, pois não havia tempo quando a primeira coisa foi criada... enfim.
Mas toda a conclusão do post é justamente em cima da existência de coisas físicas. Em nenhum momento se cogitou nada sobrenatural. A conclusão "nada surge do nada" é considerando as coisas físicas.
Em tese, tal posicionamento diria que a matéria é incausada e eterna.
Mas, é natural que as coisas materiais se corrompam, até por questão da entropia. Por que, então, não somos apenas um monte partículas separadas umas das outras, num enorme caos? Se o nosso universo atual iniciou no Big Bang, donde veio ele?
Doutro universo que sofreu outro Big Bang? Mas, tal coisa não pode acontecer infinitamente, é necessário que alguma coisa estivesse no início desta cadeia de fatos. Seria esta coisa a matéria?
Se o universo é atemporal, então como as mudanças, que nossos sentidos sentem, ocorrem, já que não está no tempo? Somente coisas que estão no tempo mudam...
Mas, admito, outros posicionamentos também gerariam outras aporias ou aparentes aporias. Por isto, vou estudar mais um pouco tal tópico. :D

Outra coisa: se porventura alguém provar que o "nada" existe, então como chamaríamos o mesmo de nada, se é algo? Penso que o "nada" é justamente a falta de atributos de algo, e que portanto não existe de per se.
Quando digo o nada "existe", leia-se "um dia não houve existência".

Por curiosidade, esta discussão relativa ao nada já tem sua origem em Parmênides e Heráclito, se não antes. Eles discutiam, entre outras coisas, se tudo é o "Um" ou se tudo é o "Múltiplo". De fato, tal complicação só foi resolvida vários anos depois por Aristóteles, ao propor a teoria do ato e da potência, pois uma coisa é o nada absoluto, universal, e outra é o nada como ausência de algo nalguma coisa.

sim chega a ser uma paradoxo toda vez que o tempo é menor que 0 parece que as fórmulas travam matematicamente, simplesmente não fazem sentido os cálculos, não sei direito como é, uma vez escutei uma teoria que o nosso universo surgiu da explosão (big bang) de outro universo que chegou no máximo de expansão e que daí nosso universo também vai explodir e causar outro big bang, mas nao sei se procede ou se é coisa da minha cabeça.
