Produzido pela Capcom, e sendo lançado o seu primeiro titulo para PlayStation 2.No jogo você esta na pele de um caçador de monstros, o personagem ficara boa parte do tempo em uma vila, os personagens que vivem nessa vila sempre estão dando recompensas para quem ir caçar ou mesmo capturar monstros, e assim é o desenrolar do jogo sempre aparecera um personagem oferecendo uma recompensa para matar ou capturar o monstro o seu papel é aceitar a missão e ir enfrentar o monstro.
Caso lutássemos contra monstros na vida real, Monster Hunter estaria muito próximo da realidade um exemplo disso quando você esta enfrentando um monstro em nenhum momento é apresentado ao jogador quanto resta de vida do monstro, o jogador terá que estudar antes o monstro para saber qual é o comportamento do monstro quando ele esta perto de morrer, um outro bom exemplo disso o jogo não da dicas onde possa ser os pontos vulneráveis dos monstros, jogador também terá que estudar caso queira tirar vantagens do monstro.
Diferencial
Monster Hunter vai em contrapartida o que a maioria dos jogos fazem, onde cada vez mais vemos jogos faceis afim de que mesmo uma pessoa que não joga bem consiga zerar o jogo, mas em Monster Hunter é diferente com o passar do jogo, o game irá separar quem sabe jogar de quem não sabe, fazendo a maioria dos jogadores desistir antes de zerar o game.Outro ponto interessante do game é que o personagem esta constantemente interagindo com o ambiente, um exemplo disso é se o personagem estiver em uma faze extremamente fria e não estiver com uma roupa adequada o personagem começara a perder energia, outro exemplo durante a fase o jogador pode caçar animais para fazer comida para recuperar a energia.
Recomendação
Eu recomendo esse jogo a jogadores que gostam de estrategia, pois com o decorrer do jogo o jogador irá perceber que não basta ter um personagem bem equipado com espadas e armaduras, ele também terá que usar o ambiente a seu favor e também colocar armadilhas em lugares estratégicos caso queira chegar ate o fim do game.
