Putin greets Merkel with flowers in Sochi

in #putin6 years ago

The Russian President has shown himself very charming to Merkel when he greeted her on the porch of his residence in Sochi with a large bouquet on Friday. He shook Angela Merkel's hand before handing her a large arrangement of white and pink roses. Merkel was very pleased.

Afterwards, Merkel was greeted by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The three spoke at the door, and Merkel spoke in Russian to her hosts. Subsequently, Putin and Merkel withdrew behind closed doors for talks.

What does this gesture show us over Merkel? Not only does Putin know what a guest is, but the situation has changed completely because of Trump's aggression against Russia and the EU. Merkel is looking for better relations with Russia ... AND REVERSED!

It's funny how the EU countries are doing one zigzag course after another, and now they're back to Russia. After all, EU leaders have just recently burned their own bridges to Russia.

Just a few weeks ago, more than half of EU member states expelled dozens of Russian diplomats and encouraged European non-EU states, such as Ukraine and Montenegro, to do so in retaliation for the alleged poisoning of Skripal.

Putin must cheer the rapprochement, because on Friday Sergei Skripal was sacked sound and healthy from the hospital in Salisbury. The whole theater about the alleged poisoning of scripts by Russia dissolves in the air.

He said, "God give him health, we are very happy". He added, however, that he doubted that Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned at the beginning of March in Salisbury by a chemical warfare agent.

"I think if, as our British colleagues claim, a weapon-grade poison was used, that person would be dead on the spot. Combat chemicals are so strong that the person dies either immediately or within seconds, perhaps minutes," Putin said.

What an embarrassment for the British and for the EU states, which for no good reason severely damaged relations with Russia. Behind them are evil forces who want to do just that, separating Europe from Russia, and the fake news media are playing a part in the slander.

But let flowers speak, one can say about the welcome, because Putin probably knows how Germany is under pressure!

Trump made a very hateful speech to Germany during his meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in the White House. He said that Germany does not spend enough money on NATO and would not bring the required 2 percent of GDP for armaments. That's why Germany would be "disloyal" to the US.

But the anger of the president was not only because of the "long-term deficit" in the financial support of NATO against Germany, but what Trump said next was a tirade against Berlin.

"In addition, they (Germany) buy huge amounts of gas from Russia, billions and billions of dollars in dollars, something we will discuss." So Trump wants to dictate Germany, from where it may draw its energy.

Germany should buy the extremely polluting American "fracking gas", which is 30 percent more expensive than the Russian gas!

Because Trump has a problem and he tries to save the slobbering US economy at the expense of the Europeans, in which they should or have to buy more weapons and more gas in America. That's why he calls Germany "disloyal" as a traitor who cooperates with the "enemy" Russia.

If Germany spends the required 2 percent, it would almost double its military spending to $ 90 billion a year. Much more than, for example, spending Russia on his defense.

Completely absurd and irresponsible to spend so much for the military, just because Trump wants and can pay less, because the US military is only pumping up and a massive increase in the debt mountain.

America's colossal annual military budget of more than 3 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) of over $ 700 billion is not due to US generosity over its allies. It has more to do with US dependence on the military-industrial complex for the preservation of its economy.

To put even more pressure on Germany and other countries, Trump uses NATO as a police mechanism. Countries that do not contribute according to an arbitrary US commitment are "disloyal." To emphasize the perfidy Trump refers to normal trade relations with Russia as a sign of "betrayal".

If Germany can be persuaded to submit to Washington's interests in order to save its economy, then the rest of Europe is likely to follow. Some 20 other NATO members are currently failing to meet their 2% spending target, including France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark.

Relations between the US and Germany are currently burdened by several issues apart from defense spending. Berlin cites the EU's resistance to US tariffs on steel and aluminum, while Washington puts pressure on Germany to abandon the construction of the North Stream 2 natural gas pipeline from Russia.

The US-led NATO alliance has always served as a US tool to align Europe with Washington's strategic priorities. NATO is not a defense alliance, but the thugs to enforce American interests.

It is clearer than ever that Washington is using the Alliance to subordinate its interests to Europe, especially Germany, even if it means that Europe is economically constrained, be it in trade relations with Russia, Iran, or whoever.

Trump behaves like a mafia godfather who uses massive threats to force his subordinates to obey his orders.

Maybe the US-led military alliance needs a name change, which it really is: the North American tyranny organization!
