Very often among a certain highly intelligent type of people, quite paradoxical ideas will establish themselves. But they have suffered so much in their lives for these ideas, and have paid so high a price for them that it becomes very painful, indeed almost impossible, for them to part with them.
Peacefully they will die, peacefully they will expire in Thy name, and beyond the grave they will find nothing but death
But we shall keep the secret, and for their happiness we shall allure them with the reward of heaven and eternity.
Lamentations comfort only by lacerating the heart still more.
Such grief does not desire consolation.
It feeds on the sense of its hopelessness.
Lamentations spring only from the constant craving to re-open the wound.
