POC: Kill it or Leave it? QSP Community Interview

in #qsp6 years ago (edited)

Hi, my name is Vadim. I am an active Quantstamp hodler.

A month ago I interviewed with the most active participants in Quantstamp community which received lots of positive responses from the community as well as the team itself. You can check it out here: https://medium.com/p/494c7071db37

Hearing all of your kind words I decided to continue!

This time we are heading in the trenches of the Proof of Care debate. I have been noticing a wide spread of views and arguments on the way Quantstamp is rewarding its active investors. I’ve also been part of that debate, clashing with people in the group chat as well as under the Reddit posts. I saw lots of valuable arguments being presented during these conversations, but with an overwhelming amount of messages being sent to the group chat or the number of threads on the Reddit pages, it all becomes fragmented, making it hard for everyone to get a grasp of what is currently happening.

For this reason, I decided to get in contact with the most active group participants and ask them 3 questions in regards to POC in an attempt to collect their valuable arguments and viewpoints in one place to which everyone can refer to when needed.

Before we begin, for those who are still in the woods, Proof of Care or POC is a reward system that allows you to receive a higher amount of airdrops based on your score. The more you interact, and contribute to the community, the higher is your score. For more information head to the main website: https://caring.quantstamp.com

Let's get started!

1. Mike (TG: SDMike)
Admin of the Quantstamp Hodl Group. (Telegram: https://t.me/qsphodlgroup)

We are not really sure whether our work is going to match the level of contribution we put towards it.

2. Crypto Warrior (TG: CryptoWarriorZ)
Co-founder of QSP Hodl Group, Moderator of r/Quantstamp subreddit

PoC concept is brand new and, in a way, cutting edge. With time and effort, it can evolve and shape into something wonderful and positive for the project.

3. Ameero (TG: Ameero1)
Tech Product manager, investor and entrepreneur

If the portal can show stats on the number of holders, including the amount held , I think this will be a great way to encourage more holders and promote Quantstamp.

4. Guybrush Threepwood
Programmer designer and crypto lover. Connect on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ega_guybrush

POC needs to be less nebulous. Less telegram and more website. It needs a good portal, with detailed information about scoring, status of airdrops, guidelines on how to best contribute, and showing how the community is contributing.

5. Mikebemike (TG: Mikebemike)

Gamification of supporter rewards. This requires effort as I envision it; implemented via ERC721 token so that achievements can be earned, displayed, used for activities.

6. Roberto (TG: Amsterdam_OG)

What frustrates me is/was the airdrop questions coming in everyday like 100 times , sometimes it felt like Quantstamp was only about the airdrops..That made me sad ,because i know why Richard and the team are trying to implement this system. Its not about airdrops alone (thats just a extra to show appreciation ), its more about building a community that helps out everywhere they can.

7. RHCrypt (TG: RHCrypt)

Please make up a new PoC system, because this one is definitely broken

8. Nobody (TG: NinjaCrypt0)

I know many who are passionate about POC, I don’t see real value to jump thru hoops for POC. As a QSP Investor I want to hear is roadmap/project completions not marketing or recruiting.

9. Mnording (TG: Mnording)

There needs to be better, clearer and more timely information regarding PoC and any changes to the system.

10. Marko (ManicPsychotic)![Marko.png]

The reward system goes against what the poc actually stands for. My friend and i bought qsp the same day in December. I had 25k, he had 2.5k. I was very active within the community, he just held his tokens without any contribution whatsoever. We ended up receiving the same airdrops. It doesn't take a mathematician to figure out that the distribution equation is just wrong.

11. Carine (CarieCrypto)

I understand that certain regions are ineligible for airdrops to legal constraints, however in my opinion if all token holders are unable to benefit from POC, then the current system is flawed and a system in which benefits all token holders should be implemented. Including all token holders will be beneficial in lifting and keeping the morale of the community elevated.

12. Bluethf (TG: Bluethf)

If they solve the problem of communicating then it would be a lot better... Higher score should be given to someone who makes a video/blog post about explaining the technology behind Quantstamp or Blockchain...

13. Token Designer (TG: Tobgelderen)

A platform where POC contributors are displayed with their name and there unique submission. This way I think participants will deliver a higher quality POC.
