Dear content creators, what matters most may surprise you as we wrestle with age old questions such as the debate between quality and quantity. You may think you know what matters more if I were to ask you that question.
What is more important, quality or quantity? You may say quality is more important for better content for videos, articles, photos, GIF, BTC, Star Wars films, food, life, love, and so on and so forth. But are you sure about that? Perhaps, quantity can be more important. Maybe there are exceptions. Moreover, quality may be better experienced through quality, through time, through more time, as that helps with the digestion of the quality, of the content, the gold.
I'm all for quality over quantity, but our pursuit and journey towards that quality, especially for the readers, the audience, may take more time (quantity). We may need it. We may enjoy it better that way.
Main stream media and television (TV) and movies (films), generally, became shallow, like sound bytes. Can you really answer a deep question in 30 seconds or less?
Isn't that an insult to philosophy, to Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Shakespeare, etc? And is social media reducing our attention spans? Are we becoming more OCD, hyperactive, crazy, insane, weird, off the wall, all over the place, scatter-brain, more distracted? Maybe.
But ironically, people are binge-watching more than ever before. For example, I watched almost all of the 8 seasons of Dexter Morgan, that blood analysis for the Miami Police Department by day and Batman Murderer by night. Was catching up on that show for the first time in like 2011 and became a big fan at that time. Also watched through all seven seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer in about a week or so in maybe 2012.
We may watch hour-long debates on YouTube. For example, I watch videos by Molyneux, Cernovich, Scott Adams, Alex Jones, Roger Stone, Louder With Crowder, Milo, the Beauty in the Belly of the Beast, and others, and many of these videos are dozens of minutes or even hours long. And some of this may seem to be quantity over quality.
But it seems to work. Right? People are watching them. So, they must be what we need. It is like therapy and it may take more time to get there than we may imagine. Don't be afraid of how long or how much content or quantity you have. Just don't waste people's time and take your time to take people with you to wherever you want to go through videos, photos, books, music, songs, dance, comics, GIF, through real conversations, and everything. Just focus on your priorities, your goals, and do your best to get there one step at a time.
But don't worry too much about whether your stuff is too long or not. Just focus on the path you are on and make sure you are not going too fast or too slow. Try to enjoy the journey, the yellow brick road that you try to take others on. Like the song suggested in the Power Rangers, The Movie, from 1995, the mountains are high and the valleys are low, and I'm confused on which way to go, but come on baby and come with me.
I want to fly you to the moon with Frank Sinatra and give me a break of the Kit Kat bar.

Agreed. Thanks. Sometimes, we should not take too many shortcuts. On the other hand, you're right and I sure do love editing. Some years ago, I was making 5 second videos and I was very focused on that as well. I love music videos and there is a lot of art and beauty in that as well.
