Either move or be moved. (Ezra Pound)

in #quotelast month

What do you think about when you read this quote? What does it mean? I have my own thoughts about it, and to me, it speaks of the fact that if you don't move, then someone else will move. If you see an opportunity that you don't take, someone else will take.

In other words, things will happen around you, and if you don't do it, most likely, someone else will. This is true in the business-world. Of course, if you are a lone sailor out on sea and see someone swimming and crying for help, then this principle isn't true, but if you have a dream and an idea that you want to accomplish, then either you move, or you will be moved to the side by someone else who will do it instead of you.

It reminds me of the quote saying that you cannot stand still, either you move forward, or you are actually moving backwards. If you stop moving forward, it means that you are moving the other direction. So, where are you heading? Have you stopped learning and developing your skills, or are you still out there longing to move and to get better?
