When I was introduced to Golgappa which is one of Pakistan's famous street food and culture, I straight away have fallen in love with this snack and have become a fan of this snack. To satisfy my cravings, I have always gone to eat this food at Khan Food Shop in Chow Kit Road Kuala Lumpur but I can say they cannot win over the original version that I ate when I went to Pakistan. I can remember strongly eating this snack on a street in Jalalpur Jattan Gujrat Pakistan on one fine evening. So when this week's topic came about 'Deep Fried', my mind straight away thinking about trying to do Golgappa for this week's cooking challenge. Here's my try on this food and I hope you will like it.
This is Golgappa
Golgappa Dough Ingredients
Golgappa Dough Method - Step 1
Golgappa Dough Method - Step 2
Frying Golgappas
This is the moment of truth whether your Golgappa dough is successful or not if it puffs up, and it has that crunchy texture with cracking sounds. If you got all these after you fry them means you can jump for joy... Yay for me!
Oh yes, don't forget to put aside inside an airtight container for later.
Making The Fillings
Making the Tamarind Water
If you are a fan of Golgappa, you must know that the secret to your success in making this snack is to make sure that your Tamarind Water is tasty for dipping later.
Golgappa ~ The Final Step
Golgappa is Ready ~ Enjoy
Dip Golgappa in the Tamarind water, scoop the water with the Golgappa, and open your mouth wide, you have to put it in your mouth in one bite, yummy!

Yours truly,
Such an awesome dish.I can remember seeing bags full of these towering towards the sky in India. I thought it was awesome to watch how street golgappa chefs can remember the ingredients each customers wants in their golgappa.
Thanks for sharing @ainie.kashif.
Hi @justinparke, when I first saw those towering golgappas, I thought it tasted like chips but hahaha I was totally wrong. You are right those street chefs can customize and personalize each of their customers, awesome right! Thanks for visiting my page, have a nice day and take care, cheers, ainie
