Hello hivers! this is my entry for the Hive Top Chef. And in representation of Venezuela, what better way to do it with everyone's favorite breakfast!
Empanadas.
Empanada is a crescent made with precooked cornmeal stuffed with whatever you like, in this case my stew was ground meat, and to dress a garlic cream!
For this you need:
- Precooked corn flour
- Salt
- Ground beef
- Chili peppers, onion and paprika
- 2 Tomato
- Oil to fry the empanadas
- To flavor: (comino, curry and salt)
For the Garlic Cream:
- 1 Egg L (The white)
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- Half a cup of oil
- Lemon juice
Procedure:
Clean and cut all the dressings; onion, chili peppers, garlic and paprika! Add them to the pan with a little oil, until it turns a semi-golden color. When you do, add the ground beef with a little water, and add the seasoningscomino, curry, salt and tomato! Let cook.
In a bold add the flour and a pinch of salt! add water and mix. mIx very well until a homogeneous mass is formed. Reserve.
Take a plastic and spread on a table. Then, take a portion of the dough and expand it into the plastic. Add part of our stew..
Take one end of the plastic and cross it forming a crescent. Add it to the pan with enough oil.. fry on both sides.
And ready! for our cream ...
* For the preparation of the Garlic cream; add in the blender the egg white, oil, salt and lemon juice and beat. When creating the cream add the garlic and cheese. *
