Cactus de Lanzarote

Botanical life on Lanzarote is very limited. There are no trees no grass or flowers.

It's because there are no mountains to stop clouds on the island. Therefore there is almost no rain throughout the year.

But in some places there are some dry bushes and of course cactus plants.

Some of them quite pretty. Photo of one of them, is my entry to this week Qurator's Photo Quest/ botanical photo.

I thought that I will submit photo of this lonely cactus plant as a example of botanical life on Lanzarote.
