A few years ago, I asked my girlfriend what she wanted for her birthday. "I don't know. I need to think about that". Usually, that never ends well. Either she waffles back and forth on a few things (vaguely I might add!) until it's either too late to get something or I end up just getting her something I think she'll want (and that's an adventure unto itself!).
However, that year, after a couple of days, she says that she wants a rabbit. I was like...a what?!
She fell in love with all these cute and fuzzy photos of rabbits people were posting on the Facebook feed and wanted her own fuzzy and cuddly pet.
There were a few problems with this request. The first was, it was the day before her birthday when she made this revelation. Good luck finding the perfect bunny on such short notice. For the second problem, see the first problem. It was a Friday night, 8pm, the day before her bday...and she had her heart set on a bunny.Unfortunately, we couldn't find a pet store that was open that had any bunnies. Sooo....long story short..we didn't have a happy night.Luckily (or whatever you want to call it), her Aunt had a few bunnies (Why? I have no idea). Anyway, her Aunt called her a day later and asked if she wanted to have a baby bunny.
My girlfriend went to pick up the rabbit after work the next day. I wasn’t crazy about the idea of having to take care of a rabbit, especially since I had no experience and didn’t know anything about rabbits.
My girlfriend arrived home around 7pm that evening with a black Adidas sneaker box in tow. She opened the box and there it was...this tiny black and white ball of fur.
Cute. Still..I had no idea what to do with this thing.
