It's not going to happen, but if he wanted to do something bold, Trump would pick someone like Tulsi Gabbard as his VP, offering borderline Democrats a "soft landing space" and the whole nation someone who isn't geriatric. She's an actual combat vet, a former Democrat, very well spoken, not a raving lunatic and not OLD.
What scares me in all this is that we're really voting for the VP here... and having someone put forward for VP by the Heritage Foundation scares me. We'd basically be heading towards some version of "The Handmaid's Tale."
Tulsi can appeal to the veteran crowd, especially those disillusioned with militarism after seeing what it really means to "serve" overseas. She's the most pro-peace of the Democrats, which might be why the party tries their damnedest to pretend she doesn't exist.
RFK Jr. is also an outlier who can lean into his family name, but Trump sure wouldn't pick him Trump still crows about "Operation Warp Speed." RFK opposed the COVID regime.
I'm seeing a lot of leftists cry about Project 2025. As usual, it's bad, but from what I have seen, they're attacking their own idea of what it is instead of what it actually is, which is bad enough that there's no reason for hyperbole.
