There is a vast gulf between wanting Russia to lose and advocating for yet another undeclared war overseas. The US isn't supposed to be the world's policeman. Foreign intervention always results in blowback, and meddling in Eastern Europe is courting nuclear blowback.
Need I remind you that while the claims of Russian collusion with Trump came to naught, but the Biden laptop story turned out to be true in spite of all the assurances two years ago it was a Russian intelligence operation?
Trump may well be a sociopath. I won't be voting for him. But Harris is, I repeat, a long-term enforcer for the police state with deep ties to corporate interests, and that takes a pretty sociopathic personality, too. Do you have any reasons to support her other than "she isn't Cheeto Mussolini?"
Yes, reasonable people can disagree over whether or not Trump is a fascist and I happen to fall into the camp of yes he is and you apparently fall into the camp of no he isn’t. I also think that you and I are just going to have to agree to disagree on that.
Sure, Harris is far from perfect. But as the dumb saying goes, it is what it is. If Harris wins, I’m fairly sure that I’d still be able to vote against her in 2028. If Trump wins, I’m not at all sure I’ll have a chance to vote in 2028.
I'm not Trump apologist, but the facts speak for themselves. He didn't actually refuse to step down in 2021. The January 6th protests we not a coup attempt or an insurrection. We've been through all of this before. Clinton, W, Obama, and Trump version 1 were all predicted to declare themselves President-For-Life by their critics, too. It's just become a mainstream conspiracy theory at this point. Maybe Trump actually will try something, but the Chicken Little fearmongering is wearisome.
Trump is an authoritarian, but "fascist" and other specific labels have specific definitions. Trump doesn't really fit them.
