Don't we all think our content is top notch though? :) I am kidding of course. I am right there with you. It really sucks when you dump your whole being into something and it gets hardly any recognition. It all comes down to getting the right people to follow you I guess. In the end it is always about who you know. It's too bad more of us consistent creators can't get the love we deserve.

I agree although if something is not very good I'm happy to acknowledge that. If it is really bad I won't even post it which is why I never posted that often.
See that statement "It all comes down to getting the right people to follow you I guess" makes my eyes narrow. It shouldn't be like that, that's how cliques are formed which worryingly, on the surface, looks like the situation with all these witnesses clamouring for votes. Also, "What have the
RomansWitnesses ever done for us?" sure they may do stunning work maintaining the network but what about some poor sod (Apologies for the swearword) who is on 38 Rep and $12.50 to his or her name? What are they witnessing for them? From what I hear they're all too busy upvoting each other and telling themselves what a good job they're doing.I suspect I'm going to be misunderstood like I am in the FOSS community. I like Steem, Steemit, that thing that gives you money for posting. It should be a brilliant idea, it should have people flocking to it in droves, the problem is, who wants to put in 8 or more hours a day every day for $2.00 and all the ignoring you can handle? LOL
I don't disagree with you. It is true, as much as getting the right people to follow you shouldn't matter, we all know it does. At least those of us who have been around here for a while. Just when I think I have made a pretty good name for myself in this place and I think that I at least have name recognition among most of the community something happens that leads me to question that. I guess my thing is, if those who abuse and spam the platform can so easily gain notoriety, why is it so difficult for those who are actually involved (growing their stake and putting out at least four quality posts a week)?
You are a genius! What a solid point you make.
