Benjamin R. Taylor didn’t make it too long in jail after being booked just a couple of days ago for raping his girlfriend’s baby girl, which resulted in the infant’s death. News spread instantly about what police in West Virginia described as the worst case of sexual assault they’ve seen, and it reached one man who took matters into his own hands.

According to WSAZ, Taylor had been living with his girlfriend, Amanda Leigh Adkins, who moved to West Virginia from Maryland over the summer with her four children for a “new start.” The man moved into the townhouse shortly after she did, after meeting each other not long after her arrival in Ripley.
The mother woke on Monday morning at about 5 a.m. and didn’t see her youngest daughter, 10-month-old Emmaleigh Barringer. In a search of the house, she found the infant naked and bloody on the basement floor with Taylor, who was later found out to have viciously raped and beaten the infant, as Mad World News previously reported.
Adkins called the police to report what happened, and when Taylor was taken into custody, he was caught frantically trying to wipe an unknown substance off of his crotch. It was later determined to be baby Emmaleigh’s blood, which he had gotten on his genitals from raping her.
The infant was transported to a Charleston hospital in critical condition, where she died Wednesday evening, a day and a half after the sickening assault took place. By then, news of what this monster did was out and had gone viral, after he had already been booked into South Central Regional Jail, where his charges were upgraded to first-degree murder after the baby died.

With the viral posts of this disturbing assault came discussion of appropriate justice, which a man only identified as “J.R.” decided to be proactive about. Since West Virginia abolished the death penalty 50 years ago, he wants an exception in Taylor’s case, but he also wants it done on the most public level possible. J.R. has started a petition on WhiteHouse.gov asking for Taylor to be publicly hanged as the only appropriate recourse for what he did. J.R. is already well on his way to the amount of necessary signatures needed to force a response.
“Prison is too good for child rapists and their ilk,” J.R. wrote. “When it’s an open and shut case such as this, let us hang these creatures publicly. Let us make examples of them, and allow the American people to attend these hangings so that the accused may be ridiculed, as they should be,” he ended his petition.
The petition to hang this monster has already reached 51,900 of the 100,000 necessary signatures required for a response. J.R. noted that he believes that our “justice system” is part of the problem, and he’s right. These predators need to be treated with fire and not coddled the rest of their lives in a prison system that provides them a cell to themselves for protection from the general population of inmates who would ensure appropriate karma that the justice system can’t do.
