The "Democratic" Republic of Congo

I have been following this subject for a couple of years now and seeing people like Akon for example doing what he does in his country gives me hope and saddens me at the same time.

So many organizations claim to support the poor through donations and are making Billions of dollars a year without changing anything but their own reputation and status.

The African continent continues to be the world's greatest grocery store for all first and second world countries while the continent hopelessly tries to fit in.

Let's just watch at what is happening in the "democratic" republic of Congo for example...

Since decades they are talking about building a dam that could have the potential of delivering electricity to the HALF or even WHOLE AFRICAN CONTINENT.

A dam that would also set the chinese dam to place two when it comes to the megawatt power that it could deliver.

But instead they put leaders with the most silly visions...

I mean, why investing in civilization when we can just waste money in such hypocritical projects?

We are talking about a country that has more riches and resources under their feet than 80% of all other countries worldwide
but they still get Billions of donation money from the world organization due to their economy and world status.

If you think that I am exaggerating, look at your LCD display, look at your phone and please take note that without the Congo who claim to have 80% of the entire coltan resources you wouldn't even have the possibility to watch this post digitally but maybe just the old fashion way through newspapers...

Meanwhile there have been wars and billions of deaths for - like always and everywhere else - just because of politics...

And guess what one of the main reasons was behind this whole genocide...

In Congo over 5million people have lost their lives since WW2...

But this number is nothing compared to what their colons did to them

10millions only because of the Belgian King Leopold...

of course there have been worse dictators like

Adolf Hitler (around 17Mil)
Stalin(around 23Mil)
Mao Tse Tung (around 49 to 78Mil)

what means that he would've been on place four of this infamous list of crazy psychopaths
but after his reign there were again more than 5mil and this just to make our lives in the west "better" and modern....

I am living in Switzerland since 1991 - a country of approx. 8mil people....
Lived for a short period in Hong Kong which also have about 8mil people...
Just think about how your region would look like if that much people would just be eradicated...

If this number is too much for you, then take the smaller example that happened in 1994 in Rwanda:
From April 7th to July 15th around 800 thousands of deaths.... so roughly more than 10 thousands of deaths daily...

The City that I live in has 50 thousand of inhabitant so the city would be emptied in about five days...
