Umm...the hippo was there when chomps were launched. In the 70...ahem...I'm old enough to remember! lol
I also remember this incident and my folks talking about hippos from their time in East Africa. Having seen them in RL: they are not to be messed with. I remember thinking that at the same time, and poor thing up to his neck in the pooh. In more ways than one!

Yes, it's kinda crazy how these animals have made an impact on many of us, I must say that hippos are not my favourite animal, but I am very grateful that I got some of these crazy capture experiences under my belt and lived to tell the tale.
They really are quite scary animals when you're standing next to them and in places like East Africa where your folks have stories from, they rule the water ways out there!
