After several weeks with no yeast my local supermarket got some stock in and I managed to get two packs of fresh yeast.
But I don't have an oven where I am staying in lockdown, I attempted to make cake in a frying pan last week, it didn't go so well :( but I found a video by Michael Lim (link at bottom) who steamed his buns so now I'm giving it a go!
I managed to find a pan, steam plate and lid, none of them were meant to go together!
I got the steam going then put my buns in 4 at a time for 10 minutes with the lid on.
The result was awesome, maybe a little chewy but I used my own bread recipe and possibly could have let them rise a little more, maybe follow his recipe :) But check out the result :-
