This cake is believed to start from the Ottoman Empire in Turkey which is often served in the middle of Ramadan. The self-contained pastry pie with pistachios and soaked in syrup is often served with tea and fruit and is the most popular pastry in Turkey.
Looks delicious. I would definitely like to try it one day. For that i think i may have to visit Turkey. This cannot be possible for now. I think i will be better off searching for the recipe of the pastry.
