RE: Ask Me Anything About Steemit Wednesday (AMAWED) Exclusively For Newbies #3. Join Us From 10.30 AM (CET) Today.

in #redfishpillar7 years ago

This is my very first time of participating on this AMAWED, I hope it will illuminate my dark spots concerning Steemit.
My questions are listed below

  1. Don't you think their is some level of discrimination on Steemit, I mean why is it that many posts will get many upvotes with few or no meaningful contents but those with good contents will not even get notice at all.
  2. What advice/tip will you give to those minnows that are posting good stuffs but are not getting recognition at all.
  3. Does your reputation determine the number of upvotes you will be able to get per post.
  4. What's the most difficult challenge you faced as a minnow and how did you overcome such challenge.
  5. Lastly, What are the steps to take to build your reputation on Steemit.

Thanks in advance ma, and as stated above am already on my chair with hot tea and rice with stew (lol).

@nuges. Thanks for your questions and I trust these few lines of mine help.

  1. Steemit is originally fashioned to be a big community embedding sub communities. In other words, it a platform to compete for recognition. So if you don't belong to a sub community and be active there, dear Steemian you will have a hard time getting recognized. There are toned of good articles out there. So not only yours. If you want people to notice you, get into a sub community and, MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, be active within your sub community. Make friends; expand your social horizon by making useful contributions to articles. That way people will begin to recognize you which will now translate to visits and upvotes

  2. Just like I said before. Get into a sub community and be active there. Go to www.steemit.chat and discord and get to relate with people. Devise a means to solve popular problem and I bet you will attract recognition to yourself.

  3. To some extent. Majority of people would rather click the work of a high reputation account than that of a low ranked reputation. The more click the more likely you will get upvoted

  4. Mine was recognition at first. I solved this by not only belonging to sub communities and getting active there, I also create a community and helped newbies to get going.

  5. Publish at least one article per day. Get active within the community. At the start of every week, make a list of people you will pay attention to and ensure you visit their blog every day and leave reasonable comments.
