What has a dictionary to do with church? What has writing notes got to do with a gospel message that is to be written on ones conscience.
The gospel today has turn into motivational speeches.
O that today you will listen to his voice..... Jesus said harden not your heart. Hence, the gospel message is for the concience plus the heart and not writing pads, not big grammars that the very commoner could barely understand nor comprehend. You can not absorb what you don't understand brethren. If you want to learn theological logic and deep knowledge, why not enrol for a degree in theology ?
Is there no longer balm in Gilead? Where are the John the Baptists of today who would tell Herod that it is a sin to covert his brothers wife? When we come across the very few we tag them old fashioned. When has the message of Christ turned old fashion? what a world we find ourselves today!
There is this woman who preaches as early as five in my place of residence, am sure many in Dutse Baupma know her very well. When she preaches, with all my guilt, i feel like closing my ears. She hits my conscience. She xray's many sin we commit through omission and those very ones we know. I do not need to understand big grammars or write it on any material to understand her, she hits my conscience and it is never erased. For the old covenant was written with tabloids of stones but the new covenant has been written in our hearts.
How about the diplomatic end time preaches who look for nice names to tag sin. Those who call a spade a spoon? You are doomed if you don't read the message of Jesus Christ in the four Gospels because much emphasis are made from the Writings of the epistles mostly the Pauline latter's. Sadly most of this preacher's cannot even comprehend the theological basis of his teachings, such preachers defend such accusations of theological barreness with the saying that the spirit shall lead them. They hardly wonder why Moses was the most sophistucated Israeli leader in the old testament and Paul the most erudite preacher in the new teatament. This men were so full of education, hence the spirit was over manifest.With due respect to all readers, i am not in anyway undermining the teachings of the Apostles,however there is no vice on earth that was not covered by Jesus in the four synoptic gospels because he was very direct and not scholarly like the Pauline teachings.Is it about morals,is it about given,is it about prayers,fasting,malice or what have you? Remember the eight beatidues? Remember the seven spiritual and seven coperal works of mercy as mentioned in the epistles? No we don't, just a few do. I bet you we all know the gifts of the holy spirit because we love to ask than obey. We all know how to claim the blessings from the miracles in the bible but hardly know the admonitions of Christ and his Apostles to us.
The preacher's of the word have so many to answer at the Judgment day. Many have been mislead and many dwelling in sins of omission especially the rich. You rich people, you have never bothered to understand the saying that to whom much is given, much is expected and that great powers come with great responsibility. The story of the Talents would explain this better.
I am not in anyway castigating the prophets or doing them harm as some would soon attack, however, for those that can read and write there is no escaping Judgment on the last day, -the kingdom of Goď suffers violent and only the violent would take it.
In this perilous times, we must search for the admonitions of Christ and his messangers which is clearly in the scripture and ask for men of truth who do not call a spade a spoon to explain when confused.
We must not restrict ourselves to the homily of the sabath alone, we must search God's precepts and ordinances beyond the words of our pastors and Priest.
We must endeavour to understand Gods precept and not ONLY his miracles and blessings.
We must continue to pray for the very ELECT not to loss faith until the Son of Man returns.
The harvest is many but the labourers are few, we should not relent praying for the Lord of the Harvest to send more labourers.
Finally my dear beloved, we MUST flee from where sin is not talked about with disdain. The Son of man has no were to lay his head, there were times his very disciples took his teachings as being harsh. There is nothing like diplomatic gospel. Adultery remains Adultry and never can it be tagged anything less.
My prayers goes to the ordained labourers and the ordinary labourers, that we may never relent to correct our selves when in sin. May we keep watch and never be discouraged by the profit venture labourers in the world today.
