RE: The evolution of Adam - The need for a Redeemer

in #religion7 years ago

A god that does not protect people from suffering and evil is either impotent or apathetic. It is logically imposible for a being that is omnipotent and omniscent to exist simulatiously with human evil and suffering. All it would take is a thought to protect every little child that is getting raped right now. but thats too much to spare, unless its some jew long ago. Mortals with limited power protect and prevent evil every day, but a allpowerful being cannot? and dont even dare to say GOD GAVE FREEWILL. like if it is imposible to shield or supernaturally protect people without taking awat the evil doers freewill. its very simple someone is about to get stabbed. and the blade just bends or something. the evil person still has the intent/will to harm but cant. Perspectives change when the scope is larger than just a few short years on earth and there is a purpose accomplished by suffering and evil

is your point of view any different from a parent saying to an infant, I will shield you from all of the pain of falling and failing as you try to grow and walk and talk and ride a bike and drive a car on your way to becoming an adult?

sometimes love is not saying to an infant "give up - learning to walk is too hard. it's not worth it!"

it doesn't mean I didn't shed a tear when my kids and now my grandkids come and show me their skinned knees from falling off the bike as they learned to ride. yes I cared and yes I loved them - I cared and loved them enough to run beside them and support them as they learned to ride a bike - but - there comes a time when I must step back and let them go, if they are to learn how to become better bike riders, to avoid future spills and skinned knees.
