Today I would like to look at Psalm 27 verse 11
11)Teach me your way, Lord;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
This is king David praying, we should pray the same prayer, asking God to show us the correct way and lead us according to His will.

We learn most about the will of God by reading the Bible and by prayer. I don't see the point in repeating the prayers of others.
I think , we should ask God to show us the way. I do agree with your point on reading the Bible and prayer.
