This is excellent! There are tons of little things in the bible that need further investigation and thought. Most times, we just take every store at face value and as either wholly literal or wholly metaphorical. In a story, the literal events sometimes have figurative meaning :)
Keep investigating; I'm going to be more dedicatedly pitching in my thought engine in this regard too.
