There is no sprinkling this product on your carpeting and then having to vacuum it up after letting it sit for about 5 minutes, all you have to do is open this up and let it do the work. This product comes in a 15 ounce plastic cone shaped container that will allow you to pull up on the outside of the top part of the product and set onto your table. This product that is inside looks like fine soft wet and gellatin like substance, with a wild flower smell. This has a fresh flowery smell to it. This is simple to use, to get this product to start all you have to do is put this directly onto your table or book shelf after it has been opened, you simply set this and forget it. You will need to let this sit for at least 5 minutes, before you start to smell the aroma in the farthest part of the room. This is safe for several types of rooms even in the baby's room. This is not recommended for use around toddlers. This has a better smell than the stuff that I first purchased to apply directly to my floors. This product has a strong odor to it if it is being put right up your nose. This does have a nice pleasant flowery smell to it as long as you do not use too much. You can limit how much aroma escapes out by only lifting the top only slightly instead of all out attack on your odor problem.

Experience
I have had animals around for a few decades, and when they came out with this product I was in heaven. I no longer have to purchase different types carpet fresheners. I just purchase this one from Johnson and Johnson. When you first start to use this product you will have to learn how much is too much to open so that you do not get over come from too much aroma. Depending on the type of aroma this stuff comes out looking like a colored gelatin tower, but will disappear as time goes on and wears down the product. You can smell the aroma as soon as you crack this little baby open and will only need a few minutes for this to absorb into the air in your rooms. Once you apply this product to the air, it will immediately emit an aroma, to this you will be in sheer heaven from the formula that this has locked inside of your olfactory senses. I have noticed that this also prevents the odors from traveling from room to room.
This is very easy to use, all you have to do is open slightly and a small amount of the aroma will last about one month. You may have to keep doing a few times so that the dirty smell from the carpeting can be replaced with your new aroma, and out until you do not smell any more odor. It does not smell good when you know that you are trapping all the little pieces of dirty odors that you cannot suck into the vacuum.
You probably have a question about the amount to keep the lid open so that you do not build-up a minor rejection to the aroma that will come out of this cone. Well, when this starts to look like a skinny piece of stalk then it is time to replace the cone. You will have to do more work to remove the strong odors by first shampooing your carpeting the using the cone from Renuzit. We have tried to use other things, other than powders on our carpeting such as sprays and other types of plug-in to get our furniture and carpeting in the basement for mold prevention, inside of the kitchen garbage can area is another place that we use this in, you can also add this to litter box areas and even inside of the car as an air freshener.
Conclusion
I would highly recommend using this in your rooms and where ever that you will be happy with the smell that this gives you. One container of 15 ounces will probably last you 1 month or so, depending how much that you open the top of this cone. For $1.00 per cone, is not a bad price to pay when you look at what they will charge you to professionally clean you carpeting to get all of the odors to disappear.
