How often do you use the resteem function?
I am not a big RESTEEMIAN ( just invented this word ) and I will try to explain to you why.
First, what is the main purpose of this function, how I understand it, it is for sharing the content you find interesting and useful to the community or at least to your followers.
The second reason I find is to help the users which post you are sharing to be exposed to the larger audience.
All this I think is the fine and great feature but few gears are missing that this feature reaches its full potential.
Suggestions
I would like to add a comment when I am resteeming post - Many times it can be a great addition to the original post or at least to give me a chance to explain why I resteem this particular post.
If I resteem other people posts, it is automatically mixed with my original content on my page and my followers have to scroll down to find my entries. My suggestion is to make some kind of section on the main page with original content and resteemed one, so people who come to check your page can see what you are posting and what you find interesting or valuable.
I am not sure how is right now but it will be nice when you resteem post to get extra curation reward for the upvotes came from your referral resteem.
I would like to hear your opinions about my suggestions and feel free to add some of yours.

Yup they need to improve...i have heard that CEO @ned had made a schedule to upgrade steemit plat form bring some changes in here....maybe your suggestion can be of some help to them.....thankqu for taking care of @steemit

I agree that there is much room for improvement on the resteem part of Steemit. It seems that everybody who is serious about creating content wants to be resteemed, but is not eager to resteem themselves, since it pollutes your own blog and creates no value.
I like the idea of a different section.
I hope someone relevant will read this post and implement some of the ideas created here in comments and post.

Agree on all three things
Another feature to add to the resteem feature is the ability to tag users. I hope the feature is relevant too.
It is great to know @ned is planning to improve the steemit platform.
Your suggestions are part of those I always try to voice them out, but, you've done it for me.
As far as I remember, while using SteemSQL I was able to determine is vote given directly to a post, or to a resteemed post. Now... I am really not sure is it making any difference in curation reward.
