Pacmania (Commodore 64)

You might be thinking this is Pac-Mania by Namco, one of the later early Pac-Man sequels. It isn't.

Despite being a clone and an obvious rip-off of Pac-Man, it is a decent game if you like these sorts of games. The game looks and plays much like Pac-Man with a few unique twists. The maze layouts are different but the real big difference is the addition of H icons in the maze. Contacting one of these will cause you to teleport elsewhere in the maze.

I don't think this game existed outside of the Commodore 8-bit world. In addition to the Commodore 64 it was also available for the VIC-20 and the more obscure Commodore 16 and Plus/4.

That teleporting H would make learning routes dam near impossible

What makes it absolutely impossible is the fact that you are teleported to a random place in the maze. Definitely a different kind of challenge than pattern memorization...
