Personal opinion:

Delirium is the first book of a trilogy that came to be quite well-known some years ago, type 2011,2012, 2013.
Honestly from the first moment that I began to read the book it caught me completely, it is a story that I have enjoyed quite a lot. I highly recommend them.

In this story a first-person narration welcomes us. Lena, the protagonist of this story is a 17 year old girl who wants, like all the girls and all the boys of her age in history, to arrive her 18th birthday so that she can be administered the cure to get rid of the possibility of Get sick of Deliria Nervosa. Lena's life would be normal if she did not live in a government based on the "extermination of love" years ago in the USA she was exposed as a "disease" to the feeling of being in love. Does this seem incredible to you? Actually, that's nothing ...

Lauren Oliver creates a world very different to that we know a world where the love of being the cause of all the ills that exist in the land of madness, of war, of irresponsibility has been blamed

One of the things that makes the story despite being very fictional, there may come a time when you can be comfortably lying on the couch believing that everything is true is because Lauren created a kind of bible for this world on the "Nervous delirium of love" that everyone is so scared, in which there are like verses repudiating love and many things like that. It is also great to think that in this world love is a disease because the symptoms of those who speak in the book are real and yes it is true that sometimes you feel that you can go crazy with love and can be fatal to yourself or to The rest of the people.

I will not tell you more to avoid making spoilers lol. The writing by Lauren Oliver I really liked, and the rhythm it keeps in the book is very good and keeps you trapped. Highly recommended for any lover of dystopias, I give it 5 stars

Here are some phrases of delirium ♥♥

“Love: a single word, a wispy thing, a word no bigger or longer than an edge. That's what it is: an edge; a razor. It draws up through the center of your life, cutting everything in two. Before and after. The rest of the world falls away on either side.”
― Lauren Oliver, Delirium.

“Hate isn’t the most dangerous thing, he’d said. Indifference is.”
― Lauren Oliver, Delirium

“I know that the whole point—the only point—is to
find the things that matter, and hold on to them, and fight for them, and refuse to
let them go.”
― Lauren Oliver, Delirium

“The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and
when you don’t.”
― Lauren Oliver, Delirium
