I wanted to find a new series to watch but i couldn't decide if a comedy or a more fighting and horror one would be the best choice.
So i found one that combine both and is no other than Ash vs. Evil Dead
PLOT
For some reason that i suspect my again has something to do with, i had never heard the name of the series before or at least a similar one and had no clue about it's history. Apparently, there was a movie called The evil Dead that was made in 1981 and even though the budget was really low it is considered one of the best of its kind providing fun,entertainment,spooky moments and a lot of blood. After this success Evil Dead 2 (1987) and Army of Darkness (1992) followed.
The concept is pretty simple for our again and it can be called mainstream although i believe this movie was one of the reasons every new movie-series with this kind of plot to be called mainstream. So we got some teens that get into a house in the woods, find a book, read and the evil is released so they have to deal with demons and zombies and survive.
The main character in some point cuts his own hand in order to save himself from spreading the ''demonization'' and later on in movies he places a freaking CHAINSAW
2015 Series Plot
After 30 years the same protagonist of the old movies Ash (Bruce Campbell) after a night that gets high he reads from the book and releases the demons. His goal again is to exterminate the evil with his unique way. In his journey he takes his co-worker Pablo and Kelly his new co-worker.
So that's pretty much the whole plot :P

WHY SHOULD I WATCH IT?
If you think well yes another zombie show, you are exactly right...........BUT this is so worth. The guys followed what the audience wanted and that is the 20century sense of humor, the same protagonist, and the whole set. If it hadn't the comedy element it could easily be a horror film. The design of demons, the masks etc etc are great and realistic and they have the spooky moments everyone desired. You never know when the demon will come BUT what i like the most is the killing-fighting scenes.
They have kept the ''gore'' fights with a lot of blood spilling everywhere the shotguns, guns,hammer,chainsaw kills and the many different ways of demon-killing they present us. In and extent the killing ways remind me of some zombie games i played in my life and i can assure you it's really entertaining!
If you like series with many plans and plot-twists this series is not for you. If you don't like killings then again don't watch it but if you liked all the above and a show with a kind of 20 century ''style'' then go watch it.

In my opinion it's just a series for genuine entertainment, it cannot provide you thought and mind-blown scenes
currently it has 2 seasons of 10 episodes and a 3 season is on it's way!
