United States band Linkin Park has just lost his vocalist Chester Bennington who was found dead in his residence at the Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles on Thursday (20/7) morning local time.
Linkin Park was originally a high school band headed by Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson. After high school graduation the three of them took seriously and recruited Joe Hahn, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Mark Wakefield to perform in the band that used to be called Xero.
Chester Bennington began to join in 1999, which brought the name change from Xero to Hybrid Theory. The band again changed its name to Linkin Park after a gig at Lincoln Park. The band actually wanted to use the name "Lincoln Park" but the internet domain should make it named linkinpark.com.
After the departure of Chester is not known whether Linkin Park will find a replacement Chester. In his Twitter account, Mike Shinoda admitted surprise and his heart was destroyed knowing this shocking news. "The official statement will be there later," he wrote.
