The film "Threads" takes the viewer to a small town Sheffield, which is in England. There the existence is quiet, measured and calm. People live today, solving their own momentary problems, and do not think about global things. Two families are experiencing real stress. Their children have entered into an intimate relationship and now everyone has to deal with the consequences by quickly organizing a wedding.
And at this time in the world the situation is getting out of control. The confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union is sharply exacerbated. On the territory belonging to Iran, an armed conflict begins, which very soon leads to a real nuclear war in the expanses of the Union and the countries that are members of NATO. Very soon everyone in Scheffeld and beyond will understand that the problems that have taken up so much energy and nerves in the past are nothing compared to the difficulties that await in the future.

Not all will be able to survive the impending catastrophe. But those who are able to do this and their still unborn children will fully feel the consequences of the rash, too hasty actions that destroyed families, destroyed the habitual way of life and laid the foundation for radioactive madness.
