I really was not sure if I would be running today as I've not been feeling at my best since we came back from our Christmas skiing. I've had a cold and been generally feeling run down, but I had a better sleep last night and felt I could get out.
It's not too cold at around 4C, but it may get colder this week. I was able to stick with t-shirt and shorts today. I did my usual Arlesey > Fairfield > Stotfold loop with some extensions. There were a few other runners out. It all seemed to go fairly well and I was happy to be fairly consistently under six minutes per kilometre.

Nothing too spectacular as I don't believe the max speed Endomondo shows, as usual.
I'm still thinking of doing the local half marathon in May, so I ought to start my training for that. I should really be running at least three times a week. Endomondo can generate training plans and that is what I used last year. I'd love to get under two hours this time.
I've read a few interesting health articles in The Guardian this week:
- A woman used running to help deal with anxiety and aggrophobia.
 - Another woman loast 13 stone (82kg!) and talks about some of the myths around obesity based on her experience.
 - We live less active lives now and we need more than exercise to stay healthy. Sitting fairly still all day is still doing us harm.

I think health is a mix of exercise, diet and attitude. Medicine can help us live longer, but it's about having a good quality of life. I don't want to be relying on drugs and struggling to get around when I'm 80.
Run free!

- I'll buy guitar picks for Steem
 - Get a Wirex Debit Card to spend your crypto.
 - Get some passive income with Mannabase
 - Get paid to search at Presearch
 - Battle for cards on Steem Monsters

definitely saw more runners than usual the other day, lots of resolutions, we'll see how they stick :)
I need to get along to parkrun more this year. I don't do a lot of races, but there's at least a couple I'd like to do again. I want to see some improvement in my performance this year, but I'm way off my best right now.
Exercise in the morning keeps body active all day long and boost the metabolism so, whatever we eat afterword got digest easily and converted into energy.
Just doing 20 squats before every meal is a game changing in terms of weight loss. This is the trick that I find after lot of research on Internet. you can search for Ben Greenfield to learn more of this kind of tricks... he has proven techniques for healthy life and some other brain hacks that we need in this fast life. Everybody wants easy fix nowadays.
Please visit on my posts for this kind of information. I am trying to build my blog on all health topics and trying to build the community of such people so that we could spread healthy living to all and share the information to others .
We can incorporate more activity into our day. You can do squats whilst brushing your teeth or just do heel rises whilst waiting for a bus.
Yes,,, but my point for doing squat right before the meal is to increase Insulin sensitivity and you dont store fat if you have good insulin sensitivity in your body, and its a long story, I will write an article on it . Thanks for reply btw :) Keep up the good work.
Nice to meet here another one person who also use Endomondo fitness tracker. Did you complain it with Actifit Fitness Tracker(of course if you use it)? I mean tracked distance.

I have used Actifit, but not recently. It was only counting steps and Endomondo gives me a lot more stats. I got it years ago when it was on special offer and I stuck with it as it now has my whole running history. The max speed thing is annoying, but I think the rest is fairly accurate.
Agree with you that Endomondo gives more information for athlets. But at last time I use it not so often as before. But in any case I like this app and find it useful!

I saw one of their challenges had many thousands of people taking part, so they may have enough users to keep going.
Every day is a good day when you run.

@mrsbozz and I have both been under the weather this past weekend as well. She hasn't been doing her exercise routine the past couple of days like she normally does because of that. It has been driving her crazy that she can't too :) She knows it is probably best to just get her strength back though. Good luck as you continue to recover!
It's frustrating if you can't exercise as you know it will take a while to get back to where you were. My kids may start running, so it would be nice to run with them
That would be awesome if you could share that experience together!
