So far I can follow your reasoning. How are safe spaces anything other than earned? Safe spaces are buildings. Land is bought and they are constructed. Just like buildings they are rigid. Just like buildings they are given a facade. Some buildings fall to earthquakes. Some are demolished giving way to more functional ones. Sure, for an individual leaving one safe space for another is a horrifying ordeal especially if the roof fell down on you. Sure, we are all so ill prepared for war, I ask you, is that such a bad thing?
