Breathing apparatus: is a respiratory, smoky breathing apparatus for indoors or outdoors that will cause respiratory or human death.
Breathing Apparatus consists of parts:
Cylinder (air tube bottle).
Demand regulator (air pressure regulator).
Face mask (face cover).
Harness (the cylinder binder and the binder of the device on the wearer's body).
Audi alarm.
Cylinder is an air storage tube equipped with:
Air valve body.
Air pressure gauge (pressure gauge in cylinder).
Air valve assembly (outflow regulator, air intake from bottle).
Safety plug (tool that at times open itself when over press).
Gauge guard (made of rubber to prevent impact on the shell).
Demand regulator consists of parts and uses:
Lever (O2 air regulator valve).
Diaphgram (works like a lung).
Diaphgram cap (cover of lever and diaphgram).
Relief valve.
Safety valve.
Reducing valve body (lowering high to low pressure).
By pass valve (direct from the regulator to the face mask, when the main line is not good).
Regulator body.
Main line (main framework from regulator to face mask).
Harness consists of:
Carrier (binder / cylinder carrier).
Waist buckle (harness binder on the body).
Sholder pad (harness binder on shoulder).
Adjustable strap (regulator, loosen and tighten the harness bond on the body).
Regulator bracket (for bonding regulator on harness).
Face mask consists of:
Lens (plastic protective glass for easy viewing of the wearer).
Exhalation valve (outer breathing).
In halation valve (deep breathing).
Nose cap (nose cover).
Harness (face mask binder on the head).
Neck strap (hanging face mask on neck).
Breathing tube (contact face mask with regulation).
Audi alarm:
Coupling and Nut (audi binder alarm on water assembly valve).
High pressure hose (water link assembly valve with reducing valve).
PROCEDURE OF USE
Before breathing apparatus is used / used should we check first:
Air pressure on the cylinder by reading at pressure gauge.
Check the cylinder bond on the harness should be strong.
Loosen adjustable left and right straps.
Loosen the harness on the face mask.
Check all leaks in the following connections:
For Demand Regulator type
Check all hose connections should be installed properly / perfect.
Check by pass valve closed, main line open valve.
Open the bottle shell, close the regulator do not face our body.
If there is no leakage, close the bottle crust by first freeing the bottle shield pen.
Exhaust the air in the hose, by opening the chassis by pass.
For Pressure Demand Regulator type
Check all hose connections should be installed properly / perfect.
Check by pass valve and main line closed valve.
Open the bottle shell, close the regulator do not face our body.
If there is no leakage, close the bottle crust by first freeing the bottle shield pen.
When finished closing the bottle shell, return the safety pen to its original position.
Exhaust the air in the hose by opening the main line skill.
How to use Breathing Apparatus
There are 2 kinds:
From the top of the head.
From the side of the body.
Installation BA Set Of Top Head
Hang face mask to neck.
Lift BA Set to the top of the head, insert the left and right hands on the shoulder pad and while lowering the bottle on the back, the two adjustable straps are pulled simultaneously.
Put a belt and a chest.
Open the bottle shell, when opening the bottle shell, BA bell will beep.
Attach face mask, starting from chin to forehead.
Drag the Neck Strap from the face mask, starting from the bottom and up on the head.
Description: - The way above is for BA set which have Demand Regulator.
- For pressure Demand Regulator, point 1.5. first opened the main line valve, then mounted face mask from chin to forehead.
The point 1.6 equals the BA set of the Demand Regulator.
Installation BA Set Of Side Agency
Hang Face Mask to neck.
Lift the Set BA by pulling the shoulder on the right with the right hand and directly placed on the left shoulder.
(Bottle shell position at the bottom).
Improve the BA Set position on the shoulder by pulling the two adjustable straps, so the BA Set sits on our backs well.
Put a belt and a chest.
Open the bottle crack, when opening the bottle shell, bell set will beep.
Attach face mask, from chin to forehead.
Drag the neck strap from the face mask, starting from the bottom and continuing up the head.
Description: Same as Ad.1.
Methods of releasing BA Set from the body
Open the face mask, by first loosening all the neck strap.
Open belt and chest.
Loosen adjustable strap.
Remove the shoulder pad from the shoulders.
Place the BA Set in a clean and safe place.
Close the back of the bottle and exhaust air in the hose.
How to change bottle BA Set
Check the bottle shell to be replaced in closed condition, and no air in the hose.
Open the bottle connection with the hose.
Open the BA bottle binder.
Place the new bottle on the harness frame and tied.
Plug / connect the hose with the bottle by first throwing the wind from the bottle for a moment, to avoid ingress of dust / other objects in the respiratory tract.
BREATHING APPARATUS USE PROCEDURES
A thorough examination of the tools.
Assembled (installed).
High pressure test / testing.
- Channel leaks at high pressure.
- Testing on audi alarm.
Ready to wear. - Main valve must be opened.
Low pressure testing / testing.
After Exit from the Operation Room
Open face mask-play valve remains open.
Removing the tools, the main valve is closed.
Discard the pressure.
CALCULATION OF USE OF BOTTLES
Aim :
Calculation of air consumption in Breathing Apparatus bottles, intended for Breathing Apparatus Set users can accurately predict and safely use / use Breathing Apparatus.
Terms:
Full Duration (FD) is: the duration of use of bottle Breathing Apparatus Set start when used until its contents run out.
Example: Breathing Apparatus MSA 401 with cylinder capability of 1274 liter with pressure 2216 psi.
Average normal human use per minute is 40 liters then full duration: = 31 minutes.
Safety Margin (SM) or Safe Safety Factor Limit
It is the length of time the notifier sends an alarm signal, until the bottle is out.
In compressed air Breathing Apparatus runs out, Bell (air audi alarm) will sound at a pressure that is generally set ± 515 or 7 minutes.
What is the contents of a bottle of Breathing Apparatus set used to work?
The maximum contents of a BA Set bottle may be used to work when the pressure is 5/6 x maximum pressure (maximum working pressure = Working Pressure = WP).

How to calculate bottle contents
Information or information on full volume at maximum working pressure (WP) can be known from the manufacturer.
If pressure is under WP of the bottle then apply the following formula:
Information :
CP = Capacity at pressure P.
PP = a certain pressure under WP.
PWP = maximum working pressure WP.
CWP = Full capacity at WP pressure.
Example: The volume of air is 1274 liters, at WP 2216 psi. What is the capacity at 1846 psi pressure?
Answer: C 1846 = x 1274 = 1061 liters.
