Fell asleep before remembering to post last night, so here are yesterday's (Monday's) events...
Up at around 6am and checked in to the internet over a nice strong coffee. Once fully awake then headed over to the Marina's facilities for a nice morning shower. Back home for more coffee and internet. Took things up a notch after the morning's sunscreen application and YouTubed in the cockpit's comfortable early sunshine
Caught up on some gaming channels with a focus on Ashes of Creation. The excitement is building. AoC could be a game changer to the MMO genre. Not only content and game mechanics but the server software itself and the load capacities they will be able to handle in terms of their non-sharded nor instanced player base. Exciting stuff for a gamer, as myself.
My neighbors, here for a fishing tournament, had the morning radio on so sat up in the cockpit basking in vitamin D and the latest pop hits. Makina has a CD system onboard, which seems the proper vintage of tech for her to employ; just no CDs available onboard. Keeping my eyes open for a collection of 70's rock on CDs on kijiji.
Wil the Welder gave a call saying that he had forgotten about a doctor's appointment for a rectal examination and would have to postpone the engine mount delivery until noon tomorrow. How you could forget about a rectal examination is beyond me. Maybe he had mentally blocked it out otherwise its one of the boldest excuses ever made up for not delivering on time. Regardless, we still are way ahead of schedule as far as the local yard's time frame went.
Called Jose to give him the news about Wil the Welder. Not the examination part but of the delay.
Got my dirties together and went over to the laundry facilities and left them to do their slosh and cleaning thing. Who should be just leaving the facilities but Wil the Welder, prepping for his doctor's meeting is my guess. If there is ever a time to wear clean undies this could be it. ;)
Did a little YouTube catching up with more political analysis channels.
Then the other shoe dropped. When checking email, after an incoming ding, it turned out to be John, my corporate neighbor, with the official offer paperwork for my property in Halifax. Forwarded a copy to Lloyd, my lawyer, and he asked that we get together for a phone call session at 8pm NS time in the evening. Shit is getting very real. My liveaboard status will soon be not only by choice but also through necessity. ;)
Called Lloyd at the arranged time and we had a good chat about the offer and talked as well about my adventure with Makina. Not sure if Lloyd has confidence from listening to my sailing CV. It is a big bite to take perhaps, but taking it slow and carefully should, hopefully, win the day.
May the wind be at your back!

Thanks Jill. Appreciate your confidence. Had a voice call with my lawyer last night concerning closing the sale of a property in Halifax remotely with him. He is a boats person as well and we started talking about my plans of bringing Makina back to Nova Scotia. He got such a chuckle of my making it up while going along approached that he asked permission to break client-lawyer confidentiality to be able to share his mirth with his wife. Thankfully he gave no legal advice on the subject, other than to say that there were trucks who could transport such things. ;)
