Being a Sailor (A day at sea)

in #sailing7 years ago (edited)

Once in our life we were making choices of our own. One of them will change our lives forever. I choose to be a sailor. I was 19 years old when i first set foot onboard a ship. It was not that huge but it will take you anywhere. It wasn't easy. What you will learn in school or at the academy. Is quite the opposite of what you'll experiebce at work. But things like stress, loneliness, sleep less night. Those things that make a skillfull sailor still a brittle one. Every jourey we make every port call we stopped every shorelines we see, still we are longing to be with our family again. 6 months to 1 year at see seems like a short time but it actually is the longest time a sailor will be away from home.

It is one of the most dangerous profession that a man will choose they always say that sailors have one foot on deck and one on grave. Thats how dangerous it is. Lives and properties at our stake every voyage so we are really strict about safety and security. There is too much to know about one's profession and theres a little you know about a sailors life at sea. Next time lets talk about the dangers of living on a ship for a year.
