DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRARABDH, SANCHIT AND KRIYAMANA KARMA AS PER VEDIC ASTROLOGY

in #sanchitkarmalast month

In Vedic philosophy and astrology, karma is the law of cause and effect that governs the soul’s journey through lifetimes. It is broadly divided into three types Sanchit, Prarabdha, and Kriyamana (or Agami) karma and each representing a different stage of the karmic cycle.

Sanchit karma refers to the accumulated karma from all past lives and a vast storehouse of deeds, both good and bad, that the soul has carried forward. Only a portion of this total karma becomes active in any given life.

Prarabdha karma is that portion of the Sanchit karma which has “ripened” and is destined to be experienced in the current lifetime.

It determines the circumstances of one’s birth, such as family, body, social environment, and major life events. This karma must be lived out even saints and enlightened beings experience their Prarabdha until the body falls away.

Kriyamana (or Agami) karma is the new karma we are creating right now through our current actions, thoughts, and intentions. These present actions can influence future births or modify our remaining Sanchit karma.

In Vedic astrology, these three karmas are reflected through different houses and their lords. The 5th house (Purva Punya Bhava) represents Sanchit karma and the merits and tendencies from past lives that shape one’s intellect, talents, and spiritual inclinations.

The 9th house (Dharma Bhava) is linked with Prarabdha karma, as it shows the destiny, fortune, and blessings one must experience in this life due to past deeds that have ripened.

The 10th house (Karma Bhava) signifies Kriyamana karma, representing one’s present actions, career, and deeds performed in the world that generate future results. Thus, the 5th, 9th, and 10th houses together form the “Trikona of Karma”, showing the interplay between past, present, and future actions that guide the soul’s evolutionary journey
