Street Art/Graffiti in the East Village
For this post I thought i would share some street Art/Grafitti I came across a little while back while walking down Avenue A in the east Village one morning

This first one is the door way roll down cover thingy, Hmmm what are these called, ohh yeah I guess its a roller door LOL, for a shop called Fry Guys, which as the name implies is a fast food shop they sell french fries and other fast food.

This one (above) was between shops and buildings on the street and I kind of like the eclectic mix of subjects and styles, I remember stopping and enjoying this one for a couple of minutes before continuing on my morning walkin this one

And this last one I saw initially from across the street I I had to cross the street and have a better look at this and get s shot it was so colorful and eye catching
The talent of these artists amazes me every time I see this art in the city

I love to see high quality artistry like this. In Melbourne, where I'm from, there are a lot of lane ways in the city covered in this sort of art work. Some so good it gets commissioned as these pieces bring many tourists to the area.
I to love seeing the artistic and good graffiti the tagging not so much

These are great @tattoodjay. So colorful and creative. Even the rainbow is extended to the sidewalk in the first one probably to draw customers in like the yellow brick road.
BTW what is that first tag? Is that a new one or a boo boo??

hehe...I thot it might be but wasn't sure. I've seen so many new tags lately. :) Don't you hate it when you make typos? I do. I'll see a comment I've made and see all the typos.....and wonder...how the heck did I do that? lol

A bit different to the street art back home, it's amazing the talent people have.

I love the vibrancy and fun of these works
I live near a train switching area. Many of the cars have been "tagged". It makes it entertaining to be stopped by a train. SOme of the artwork is amazing. I often wonder how far the trains have traveled. Were any of them tagged in Chicago or New York? Sorry. I ramble. None of our trains compare to what you have there.
I sometimes see trains that are tagged and wonder the same
That got me thinking it would be cool if there was some way or site to shot and sharecshots of tagged train carriages and track where they are seen
That's a great idea. There are a lot of train buffs out there. Maybe there is such a place.

Rainbows and french fries...the perfect combination for happiness. They better have magical food. I like the one with the cat eye the best. It's really funky looking.
