What Are EDSI Tokens?
Eddie Earner Income (EDSI) tokens are income-generating tokens on the HIVE blockchain that pay weekly dividends every Monday. These dividends come from 12% of the total HIVE POWER balance held by the @eddie-earner account, providing token holders with an impressive annual percentage yield (APY) of over 22%.
Token Supply and Mining
EDSI has a hard cap of 500,000 tokens, with an initial public sale of 20,000 tokens priced at 1 HIVE each. New EDSI tokens can be minted in two ways:
- Staking EDS Miners (EDSM) or EDS Mini Miners (EDSMM).
- Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote.
- EDSM miners yield approximately 20% annually.
- EDS-vote provides returns of about 4-5% per year.

This Weeks EDSI Report
This week we minted 554.86 EDSI, which is a little higher than normal, bringing the total in circulation to 86,755.
This week the account powered up 625 HIVE this week, we had a small surplus of 35 HIVE sitting in eds-vote, which pushed us a little higher than normal.. The total HP sitting in the account is 144,545, and we should cross over 150k in 10-11 weeks.
The income pool this week is 332.42 HIVE. The income pool is currently set to be equal to 12% APY of the eddie-earner HP balance. We will soon be reducing this percentage, which will result in the income pool dropping. We have decided to freeze the income pool at a set amount instead of dropping it. The pool might remain at this set amount for whatever time and then start to increase again. This will begin from next week.
Noooooooo!!! We're under 20%, with the EDSI APY being 19.99%. We knew this would happen, and if we could still be earning 15-18% with HP, we'd still be at 22-23%, so whatever. Not going to lie, it could be a while before we get back over 20% again, but when we do, it'll be the last time we cross over, as the only way will be up.

Results came in the vote held a few weeks back. 48 people took part which is about double what i thought, really great to see that. The results came

4/ 12% Income Pool - 0
In 2 weeks time, i will adjust my spreadsheets to calulate the income pool at 9% of the eddie-earner HP balance. The HIVE income pool amount will be frooze until the 9% is worth more. If we reduced the income pool directly to 9% without the income pool freeze, the EDSI APY would drop instantly to 15% because 9% is 25% smaller than 12%. Setting the income pool does not mean we'll not drop to 15% but it might take 6-9 months instead.
Aside from all that, pretty normal week for us and things are going as well as can be.

I like the idea of freezing the income pool until it gets to the correct level rather than just dropping it 🙂 Definitely a classy way to handle it.
