What people tend to miss is that STEEM is mainly just used for powering up exclusively. Any bot/service (except for account creation services) that accept STEEM accept SBD and there are many services that doesn't even accept SBD.
You can't win a fight against a market. There was a pump. There is utility and there is very low supply. All bid bots accept SBD and same goes for resteem bots and other services. STEEM isn't widely used except for buying delegations and powering up (and trading). SBD is a more functional coin in the platform and market demands more SBD and many people love the idea of high SBD value and has a bias towards maintaining that. SBD has too much upward pressure for the short (or even mid) term.
