In The Footsteps Of Abraham (pt 2)

Please read this scripture carefully:
Hebrews 11:8-10 KJVS
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. [9] By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: [10] For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Verse 8: Abraham by faith, moved out of his place of abode to a country without name. Worst, he didn't know anywhere on the map where this country is located. By Faith, he moved. Remember faith is the substance (feeling or feel able) of things(promises/vision) hoped for, evidence (proof) of things (promises/vision) not seen(not physically present). Wow. What a definition. So faith goes to proof the existence of something in the spirit which is yet to be made physically manifest. So you can feel it, sense it, smell it, touch it. This was Abraham's compass. As long as he kept walking, travelling from place to place, he checked regularly to see if he still retained the scent, feeling and sense of the reality of that country God promised him. Wow! This is blowing my mind. This is faith simplified for me, I don't know about you. So at every junction, check to verify if you still retain the original blueprint of what God showed you before you began your journey in life(ministry, career, marriage, etc).

Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJVS
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. [3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Now recall that the country was to be an inheritance sometimes later, not immediately. So all he was doing was securing the future. Himself knew he wasn't going to see it happen but knew that God would bring it to pass with the promise of descendants. This man I must tell you dimystified Faith.

Verse 9:
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

It says by FAITH, meaning where he sojourned most likely wasn't even the place God showed him. Let me put it this way, it didn't look like what God had showed him at first when he arrived at a particular place he felt was to be the place. Then read further, it says he dwelt with Isaac and Jacob. Was there any record of Abraham dwelling together with Jacob? No! All these were playing in the mind of Abraham. Remember also that he had no children when he began this journey. He was walking the steps of faith. Just like how the whole of Genesis 1 was all in the mind of God but manifested in Genesis 2 from verse 5. He sojourned, he dwelt, all by faith. HE CREATES OUT OF THE UNSEEN FOR US, WHAT OUGHT TO BE.

Romans 4:17 KJVS
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Hahahaha!! Ayayaya! Abraham was living in the consciousness of the reality of an unseen country, whose builder and foundation is God. Bible even says 'as in a strange country'. Faith with God is able to create an unseen world in a world that doesn't look like it. So Abraham's focus wasn't on the harshness of the situation, but on the promise before him.

Hebrews 12:2 KJVS
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
When running, something has to be in front of you, making you run.
Whatever Abraham was doing, he was doing after the manner with which he saw in the spirit. Little wonder he kept having encounters with God.

Happy Sunday.
