Humility is a grace that must be asked of God, to be meek and humble of heart. We must discard those desires to impose our will, to eliminate the rival in all areas work, love, to be vengeful and to do what you want. You have to ask for the grace of quietly doing self-criticism is difficult but you can. We must ask for the grace to remain serene in contempt, forgetfulness and indifference, to feel truly happy in anonymity.
Humility means subordinating oneself, but not crawling
Humility and subordination go hand in hand. The word of God says that we as Christians must subordinate ourselves to one another in humility. "Likewise, young people, be subject to the elders; and all of you, submissive to one another, clothe yourselves with humility; because: God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. "1. Peter 5: 5-6
By subordinating ourselves and "putting on humility" we can create peace and union with others. We should not be so proud and high that we can not receive reprimand or advice. Nor should we have the mentality that our own opinions and thoughts are always better than those of others. Thinking like this does not lead us to progress or to unity in Christ.
In order to ask for the grace of humility to acquire a detached and empty heart like God's.
Always ask God to give me a humble heart to understand his will and desires in my life which has helped me a lot in my relationships at work, in my marriage, with my friends, family, Every time I feel I give in the haughtiness or I stand still before some injustice I remember what the Bible says Matthew 23:12 For he who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
And it is incredible as when giving in, then God exalts me and gives me reason in the situations in which I have asked for humility to understand the situations of daily life.
One of the great keys to lead a quiet life and be able to be a guide to other people is to ask a humble heart to understand the will of the Lord, it is incredible to yield to any claim or arrogance and ask humility the Lord immediately exalts you
