Greetings brothers. My new lesson focuses on the relevance of singing praises to our God with understanding.
When we sing praises with understanding (intelligence, wisdom), we testify of God's love for us and our love for God; others will be impacted by grace.
Psalm 47: 7 King James Version (NIV)
Because God is the King of all the earth; Sing with intelligence.
The meaning of the word intelligence "prudent or careful." In that sense, intelligent is linked to wisdom and prosperity.
In Proverbs 21:16 the consequences of acting carelessly are discussed: "The man who departs from the path of wisdom will stop in the company of the dead."
But when we sing praises with intelligence, we bear witness to God's love for us and our love for Him. The result will be life and not death. Others, hearing us praise God, will hear the testimony of our salvation and our joyful relationship with God, which will often lead to their salvation.
