Today I enjoy this beautiful day that God has given us. I bless you very special in the name of Jesus and welcome you to my blog, to enjoy with me the joy that comes from feeling saved by the love of Christ.
I share the word recorded in Psalm 35: 9
Then my soul will rejoice in Jehovah; He will rejoice in his salvation.
David spoke of the joy that his soul found in the Lord and his salvation, as we see in Psalm 51:12 where he prayed after sinning with Bathsheba: "Give me the joy of your salvation, and the noble spirit sustain me."
In Luke 10: 17-20, we read that Jesus told the seventy that he had sent them to minister on his behalf:
The seventy disciples returned with joy, saying: Lord, even demons are subject to us in your name.
And he said to them: I saw Satan fall from the sky like lightning.
Look, I give you the power to trample snakes and scorpions, and over all the strength of the enemy, and nothing will harm you. But do not be glad that the spirits are subject to you, but that your names are written in the heavens.
If you and I had no other reason to rejoice, salvation is reason enough to be extremely happy. Just imagine how it would feel if everything in your life was perfect, but you didn't know Jesus or, worse, if you had to face your current situation without knowing Jesus.
There are times when we hear people say, "I feel that I am between a rock and a difficult place." When those who do not know Jesus say that, they are honest, because they are literally between a rock and a difficult place. But those who have an established relationship with the Lord are between the Cornerstone (Jesus) and the sword. Standing on the Stone is a much better place to be than anything that is available to those who do not have Christ.
Victory is not the absence of problems, it is the presence of power.
The power of God is greater than any problem.
Your victory swallows all adverse situations. We can stand firm, be more than conquerors, when we know that He is with us. Repeatedly, the Bible teaches us not to fear, because He is with us. Not only is he with us, but he is in us to free us.
@dali13, God is and will always be the joy of our soul, so we rest in his presence and every day is an opportunity that God gives us to enjoy and rejoice in him.
