As believers, our duty is to thank God for all the good things he has done in our lives, not only since we decided to surrender what we are to Him, but to thank him every day for saving us before he founded the world.
There are many methods to thank God for all that he has given us, for listening to us, for instructing us, speaking to us, exhorting us ... etc; As there are many things to thank you for, there are also many things we can do to thank you:
- Thank God continuously.
- Thank God for your rich blessings.
- Do acts of service as a token of appreciation.
- Thank God through worship.
There are so many methods to thank God that those 4 are still small, but they are important.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Always be cheerful; Pray without ceasing; Give thanks in everything, because this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
The first two points are based on the fact that, in prayer, that method of gratitude is so important to believers, it is the most convenient way to approach God.
Prayer is a direct line that leads us to our savior, and how not to use it to thank God for everything around us.
The third point is essential, thanking God for serving those in need also brings us blessings.
Mark 10:45
Because not even the Son of man came to serve him, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many.
This is our best example, that character who has always been in charge of serving others, and as followers of Him, we must thank him for everything he did, nothing more and nothing less than serving others.
Ephesians 5: 19-20
Speaking among you with psalms, with hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praising the Lord in your hearts; always giving thanks for everything to God and the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And that is the last point, our worship towards Him, our great show of gratitude through this form.
There are so many things that we should thank, and we have the power to give God a good show of thanks, if we pray without ceasing, we serve without expecting anything in return, if we praise and worship God at all times, we can make sure that we have already given "OUR SAMPLE OF THANKS".
