Today I would like to talk to you about a very special topic, and that is how we are walking, what is our horizon? How is our walking with God? What path have we chosen? There are many paths to choose today, 99% of many of them are not the most correct. The man chooses for his convenience disordered and empty roads full of much fanaticism and idolatries that consequently end in spiritual death.
But we can see in today's passage that there is a way to get to the father is through Jesus, he mentions it in his word in the book of John (14: 6) Jesus said I am the way, and the truth, and the lifetime; nobody comes to the father, if it is not for me. It is what his word says there is no other way that leads him to the Father but that of Jesus.
If there is something that God hates is idolatry, in the old testament we have read of how God will go to the people of Israel to worship pagan gods, God is our only worshiper, He is our God, a jealous God and does not share His glory with nobody. He is the only faithful and true God and there is no other like him.
Maybe your say_ ah that's not my case ...! It may be that you do not worship other gods, because you have read the word of God, and you have knowledge about the subject, or rather you are already a child of God and your worship is for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who is in the heavens and in the midst of the people who praise him.
You do not necessarily have to have gods to become an idolater, there are many things that are taking God's place in your life, and that is somehow also idolatry for God, everything that takes away your time in your relationship with God It is an idol, if you sacrifice God's time in other things that please your flesh and your eyes, those are also idols.
What is it that has robbed you of God's place, to the point that it makes you invest all your time in that? Are they friends, the Internet, the telephone? What has stolen the joy of your first love? Remember when you were looking for that first love with God
Nothing interrupted your time with him. What is p? Did you say praises to your God every morning? Are you still searching in prayer? Have temporary things robbed you of your time, so that you do not devote yourself to those that are spiritual?
The Lord today calls you to reflect! He wants you to analyze the way you are going. Have a "stop" and think if you have not been walking badly in the eyes of God, recognize that you have failed the Lord, and he will return the joy, the salvation, so that you return to the place of your intimacy with Him. wait with your arms open to start again and straighten your walk in front of him.
Because you heard the words of the book, and your heart was moved, and you humbled yourself before Jehovah, when you heard what I have pronounced against this place and against its inhabitants, who will come to be ravaged and cursed, and rend your clothes, and you cried in my presence, I also heard you, says the Lord (2 Kings 22:19) (chronicle 34:27).
We have a God who feels sorry for us when we are humiliated, the word teaches us that the Lord does not despise a heart that humbles itself. Today is the day to make resolutions in your life, and to put God in the place that belongs to him, he makes a call for reflection, so that you put yourself to account with him. Recognize where you have fallen and do the first works, because if not, it will soon come to you and ask for an account. Do not wait to see the wrath of God poured out on your life, to do the right thing in front of him.
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, whichever way is good, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said they will not listen (Jeremiah 6:16).
We know that when we disobey a direct mandate from God, that brings a curse to our lives. The Lord told them that they would walk the path that would give them rest, but they did not listen.
Do not let the fruit of your thoughts bring evil on your life, do not abhor the law of God, put it into practice and save you from stumbling, obey God to save you the day of his wrath. Do not dismiss the advice that God brings today for your life!
Better is the obedience that many sacrifices say the word of God, therefore obedience to God has a very broad weight in our Christian life.
