WARRIORS

One of the phrases or expressions that has most caught my attention watching the movie "Letters to God" is when the child with cancer tells his mother: "I am a warrior!" I was so moved by those words and I started think that finally we are all warriors, because we all have to fight in some struggle.

But knowing why we are fighting is very important. Do not fight to fight. You have to have good reasons to do it and even more to want to win. When we get sick, we fight to be healthy. When we get depressed to cheer up again. If life gives us a blow, we do everything possible to get up again with more strength.

Certainly those who put obstacles or try to limit, struggle to overcome the difficulties and impediments. The issue is not to remain static and indifferent to the things that happen to us. But to know that even on the floor we can throw punches and drag to not lose.

The soldiers in the war are characterized and trained to resist everything that comes to them. If they have to die, they will do so with dignity, but in the middle of combat. You have to be brave to overcome pain. To die with gloves on. Not to give up a battle, without first having tried.

You may be going through an illness, financial loss, work or even more of a loved one. You may have tried something so many times, that today you are lying on the floor, thinking how you can get up again. But do not forget these words: YOU ARE A WARRIOR! You have to fight with all your strength while you stay alive. Cling to the Lord and ask Him to give you strength to fight with determination and pride.

In the film, the child dies, after having faced many treatments against cancer, but nevertheless leaves a legacy of love and faith in the midst of all those who knew him.

So go ahead, you can!
