It is important to know that marriage is based on communication as an additional ingredient of love.
Certainly, love is important, however, to deepen marital communication you must ensure that your spouse knows how much you love him. God has created us to be receptive to words and acts of love and devotion.
Think for a moment how many times in the Bible God expresses his love for all of us. We are valuable to Him and He delights in us. God fills us with love and repeatedly manifests his personal devotion to us as children. Therefore, thinking about God leads me to Him and makes me want to communicate with Him as my Father who is in heaven.
Similarly, spouses should consider the use of words that confirm their mutual love as a priority.
Those words that leave the heart provide the right basis for a new level of communication.
A man whom the Bible identifies as King Lemuel once wrote about the faithful wife:
Her children get up and congratulate her; Her husband also praises her: "Many women have performed feats, but you surpass them all" (Proverbs 31:28).
Lemuel wanted his wife to know that, although he could have chosen from a wide range of noble and elegant women, he had chosen her and that he had chosen the best of the best.
How would you respond to such a statement from your spouse? If you knew that your husband or wife loves you enough to boast about you in front of others, would you not feel more than willing to maintain a fluid and sincere communication in your marriage? There is nothing that creates a more conducive field for excellent marital communication than wasting praise on your spouse.
But how will we carry it out? How do we exalt our spouse and give them the kind of approval everyone wants with anxiety?

Excellent @merry01, God's plan is to bless the families of the earth through marriage, so the enemy is always looking for ways to destroy them and Christians should be at all times and try to activate communication between the couple in order to stay in their covenant and the plan that God has for them.
