A greeting to all, just as I promised, I'm bringing the second part of my study of the Bible, this part I want to show them who is the author of the Bible and as the same is made.
Who is the author of this book? (the Bible)
The main author of the Bible is nothing more and nothing less than God himself. Every word written was inspired by it, as expressed it above (previous post). The word inspiration comes from latin and means "breath". However, each book that made up the Bible has a writer while it is said that the Epistle to the Romans for example the author was Paul around 57 ad, but what Paul wrote in his books (from Romans to Philemon) was under the inspiration divine of God, he is written in their books the message that God wanted to show his creation. The human authors wrote exactly what God wanted to write, and the result was the word of God. (Note that I want to make it clear that God is the true author of this beautiful book).
2 Peter 1:21. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit..
Similarly return to use this verse where Paul said: "All Scripture is God-breathed".In 2 Timothy 3:15-17 wrote "and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which can make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correct, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work".
Did you know that the Bible has: 66 books in total, divided into; 39 books in the Old Testament (the Tanach) and it was written in Hebrew and Aramaic and 27 books of the New Testament this was written in Greek. As well as it is also important to highlight that the Bible has 1.189 chapters, 929 of the Old Testament and the New Testament 260 and possesses 31.103 verses.
How is the Bible composed?
The Bible is divided into two main parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament
The old testament speaks of the creation of laws and commandment of God (exodus 20:1-21), also describes the Foundation and preservation of the nation of Israel.Taking him from captivity to freedom reach the Earth promised, as well as the various prophecies announced the formation and fall of several Empires (book of Daniel 2:26-45) and the birth of the Messiah, of our Savior Jesus Christ. :
Here are a few examples that the Bible says about the birth of the Messiah:
Génesis 49:10 “The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.
Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” .
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
The New Testament describes the life and passion of the Messiah. His name was Jesus, he fulfilled the prophecies of the old testament, lived a life of Holiness, he died to become the Savior of the world washing our sins (from original sin, which we acquire from Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed to) God), and rose from the dead in this way is continuing expressing the manifestations of God through his apostles who spread the Gospel of Christ and finally leaving the apostle John a revelation quite deep as it is the second coming of Christ in which referred to the end of time, end of the world "the Apocalypse".
This is an example where Jesus in the New Testament affirms the fulfillment of the prophecies of the old testament about him.
Luke 4:17-21 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” 20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”.
In this image you can see the basic structure of the Bible, as it had been mentioned in the previous post, the Bible not only is religion also is a book that contains history, prophecies, poems and laws among others.
